How to fix mic. reverb/background noise in windows 7

Follow these simple instruction to fix the reverb in ventrillo for windows 7 users.

1) go to control panel and find sound settings.
2) you should see 4 tabs at the top. playback, recording, sounds, and communications.
3) in the RECORDING tab make sure your mic is selected as default device (mute everything else)
4) click on the fourth tab called communications.
5) there should be four options under this tab. Enable the tab mute all other sounds.
6) click apply then click ok.
7) you're finished all the reverb from your mic should be gone.

This seems to help EVERYONE so please do this.

Also make sure you have these settings checked under the PROPERTIES for the microphone settings in the RECORDING tab:

For people using a similar audio card or any for that matter make sure you use these settings.
