Just read a news article that Hurricane Rita is supposed to reach cat5 strength and is headed towards Houston, Tx. and has a high possibility of rivaling Katrina's landfall.
Intense... good luck out there in Texas. Jeez... having to move two times must suck. Let's hope that Rita dies or something. Seems unlikely though because of the gulf's extremely warm water.

::Sigh::
Bullcrap will I move again. I JUST finished moving into my place and there is no way in hell that I'm going anywhere. The thing about New Orleans, is that you have to go. New Orleans is like a bowl, it retains water. Im living in the heignts in Houston, which wont get any flooding, just wind. I'm not quite sure how my little garage appartment will hold up, but if it gets knocked down, I'm going to go to Zot's house, bang on his door, tell him to point me to the nearest corn field, and set up camp there. Permenetly.
Im actually in class right now, and were discussing whether or not the university will be closed.
This is such bullcrap.

Bah, you need to come and live in the north. Who cares about 6 months of snow, you'll never raelly get any natural disaster. Last disaster I've had was a tornado warning in 1986 and that tornado never really destroyed anything.
Oh yeah, we also had a tornado warning this summer 2005, but the tornado never touched down. The wall cloud went directly above my house, was kinda freaky.

I don't live at home anymore, I live at work.
I just go home to sleep.

I think anyone who is staying through this hurricane has got to be insane. It's the 3rd most intense hurricane ever recorded right now, with conditions for further intensification being quite favorable.

Well, as it turns out, I ended up leaving. Leslie really wanted to go, so we went. I regret sitting through 10 hours of traffic to get to Dallas, but hey- I'll stay alive.
The hurricane is shifting east right now, hopefully it'll keep on that path and miss Houston completly. I just finished moving in, I really dont want to have to repeat the process.
I'm on my girlfriends best friend's sister's AOL connection emachiene right now, so dont expect me to be checking the boards until I get back to houston.
Just thought I'd give everyone an update.
